The Chinese Parents Association - Children with Disabilities (CPA) Inc. was established in 1988 by a group of Chinese parents with children with disabilities in Australia. CPA was endorsed as a deductible gift recipient by the Australian Taxation Office in July 2001. It is a non-religious, non-political and non-profit making organization with the objective to provide a range of services specially needed by people with disabilities and their families. CPA also aims to promote a caring community for the optimal growth of people with disabilities.

The Management Committee comprises of a group of parents of children with disabilities. There is a team of volunteers offering their time and skills in the day-to-day office administration, running programs and activities for the members and the community.
